The Origins of FILM NOIR
The folks over at Filmmaker IQ have put together a new furious reel focusing on the technology and economics that gave birth to Film Noir a cinema aesthetic that has thrilled and captivated audiences for decades. While most people associate noir with just the hardboiled crime films of the 40s and 50s, the visual style/tone can be seen in other genres as well such as horror and sci-fi.
