Leonardo DiCaprio faces a brutal wilderness in THE REVENANT

Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu’s latest film THE REVENANT stars Leonardo DiCaprio as legendary 19th century frontiersman Hugh Glass who, after being attacked by a bear is robbed and left for dead by his fellow hunters. Glass somehow survives then travels hundreds of miles through hellish terrain alone to get his revenge. Innaritu and DP Emmanuel Lubezki used only natural lighting to give it even more of a starkly realistic atmosphere.

For film geeks who love action-adventure films like this one, the story may sound familiar, that’s because it was previously made as Man in the Wilderness starring Richard Harris. This is the type of bold cinema we love, so we’re really looking forward to it. Co-starring Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter.

THE REVENANT will have a limited release in the US on December 25, followed by a wide release on January 8, 2016.
