Soundtracks: BEVERLY HILLS COP

Beverly Hills Cop is one of our favorite furious films of the 80s. Eddie Murphy plays Detective Axel Foley, a rebellious Detroit cop who travels out to Beverly Hills to investigate the death of his childhood friend Mikey (James Russo) who was murdered while visiting him. Working in association with some new friends on the Beverly Hills police force, Axel discovers one of the city’s most respected businessmen is secretly fronting a criminal organization. The mixture of humor, drama and action make this film a classic.

The soundtrack which features such artists as The Pointer Sisters, Glenn Frey, Harold Faltermeyer and Patti LaBelle is a rockin good time and gives the film that special extra emotion that keeps the upbeat mood going. For our latest installment of Furious Sounds we’ve picked a few of our favorite tracks. Crank em up and enjoy!

PATTI LABELLE – STIR IT UP
