INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS is a psychological sci-fi horror classic

On August 2nd, SHOUT FACTORY will be releasing a special Collector’s Edition Blu Ray of Philip Kaufman’s 1978 update of the sci-fi horror classic INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS – BUY FROM AMAZON

Set in San Francisco, the plot revolves around a city health inspector Matthew Bennell (Donald Sutherland) and his circle of friends. Bennell and his co-worker (Brooke Adams) discover that aliens are duplicating humans and replacing them. The film is a brilliant work of late 70s psychological horror that is filled with suspense, expanding and improving upon the 1956 version directed by Don Siegel through its visceral depiction of paranoia.

TRIVIA: Look for cameos by Director Don Siegel and actor Kevin McCarthy who starred in the original.
