The Man With The Iron Fists

When film fans heard that RZA would be directing his own martial arts extravaganza, they immediately went ballistic and couldn’t wait to see just what the musician/actor/writer/director would come up with. If you know of RZA and The Wu-Tang Clan, then you’re already aware he is an expert and lifelong aficionado of kung fu cinema. He’s seen everything released in the genre from Shaw Brothers classics to Golden Harvest and beyond.

As is the case with most kung fu films the plot for his new project is relatively simple: In Feudal China, a weapon making blacksmith must defend his village from outside forces. This is just the basic structure that will set the backdrop for an ultra gory, bombastic chopsocky thriller in which RZA and his co-writer Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) will unleash all their dreams for the most insanely outrageous kung fu film on audiences.

The Man With The Iron Fists stars: Russell Crowe, Dave Batistta, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune, Byron Mann and Pam Grier. Written by RZA and Eli Roth. Directed by RZA. It will hit theaters October 26, 2012.
