This 1980 war film directed by John Irvin (Raw Deal, Hamburger Hill) and photographed by Jack Cardiff (Dark of the Sun) was based on a novel by Frederick Forsyth. The story follows a group of international mercenaries who are hired to remove an African president in the fictional country of Zangaro so their employer, a wealthy British businessman, can get access to a platinum mine. This furiously cool poster features Christopher Walken as his character Jamie Shannon holding the XM-18 grenade launcher he uses in the film. The tagline for the poster is a quote from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.
